Okay, hope you enjoyed the first new page. I enjoyed drawing it for the most part. The heat that day sucked though. Regardless I think the process that I used to create it really reflects how much I’ve grown as a comic author. Explaining that would be a bit difficult, so I’ll skip doing that.

Things to know about Hegemonia, I have two more prologue pages written. They will be released on the 7th and 14th of July. Those are both Mondays by the way. I’ve decide I want to move Hegemonia to a once a week update seclude while I’m drawing a chapter.

I think I mentioned it at some point, but if I haven’t here’s a little inside information for you, my readers. I’m going to be releasing chapters, and they won’t go on the site till they are 100% done. My goal is to create a massive back log, so I can if I feel comfortable double the release schedule for your enjoyment.

So Monday and Thursdays but only if I’m comfortable with my back log position, Monday updates other wise.

On a side note.

I bought a nib pen set a few days ago and some water proof ink to go with it. I’ll be experimenting with that a bit more soon. So far I like using it a lot more than the Sakura brush pens I’ve tried using to ink before hand. Nib pens may just pull me away from digitally inking, although I’m not going to jump off any bridges just yet.

Also, I’ve sent in that VG cats guest comic but Scott still hasn’t put it up. If he doesn’t do it soon I’ll just throw it up here and make a post about it on the VG cats form ‘to whom it may concern’. After that depending on the response I get I’ll think about releasing the video I made of me inking it.

Guardsman

Alright news time, right now I’m working on my artistic fundamentals and will continue updating after I’ve completed a few exercises. They are intended to improve my overall skills as a comic author.

Now onto the important stuff.

The next update will be on July 1st 2008 and will begin a completely new chapter in the Hegemonia series. This continuation of Hegemonia will be very different than what you have seen in the past.

My goal is to start over again after finishing an entire chapter, roughly 16 to 30 pages long. The first four pages will be an exception, complete chapter-wise, as they will be uploaded for a Monday release each week for the first month.   

The story will feature the same characters I’ve introduced but they won’t necessarily be identical to the ones you’ve come to know. Once the next chapter is in full swing, and totally completed, I will be removing the original content from the main site and placing it in my deviant art account.

PS: I’m working on a guest comic for VG cats about metal gear. I’m also recording the entire digital process and going to be uploading it all with commentary to YouTube. In total there should be five videos each around 10 minuets long.

Alright every body, I've got the new news section up yay! Thanks to some helpful tutorials I’ve managed to make the news boxes auto expand, which is sweet. I’ll be linking to each news post from the news box on the main page so you won’t miss a beat.

So on to some more important news, I’ve re-worked the sections of the site so they are more stream lined. Some stuff like the deviant-art link have been removed. From now on I think I’ll be hosting my own images, using various different programs, on my site. I’ve also added popping buttons that display the name of the section when you roll over them.

Those sections are Home, News, Archives, Info and finally Media.
-Home is the main page obviously.
-News is this page which contains my posts and perhaps if there is a demand for it the hegecast.
–Archives, as of right now, has a master calendar which links to all the pages of Hegemonia by date.
-Info has my old introduction to the site, I’ll be writing a new on the weekend when I can really concentrate. I’ll also work on a nupdate along side it that which I plan to put up on Monday.
-Lastly media, it’s a hodgepodge of different things, for one I’ve gotten an embedded youtube viewer in it right now, which is pretty sweet. I’ll be adding in a picture viewer soon-ish too. I’ll be putting up more movies over time with tutorials and such. Don’t hold your breath though, that’s not a priority for me right now.
